Last Saterday I woke up and looked outside, the night before we have had heavy fog and that by a temperature of -10 C ( 14 F), the sky was now clear and full of stars, I was outside before sunrise, it just was a fairytale outside, after 3 hours I was frozen solid but it was worth every second. This is NO SNOW just FROST in thick layers on the branches

Astrid this is some frost. Lovely shot
Hope your toes did not get frost bite
Picturit: Thanks for your concern, but I have special waterproof boots for this kind of stuff, sometimes I just forget where I walk and than I am in trouble and in inches of mud and you know me; I am warm blooded glad you like the picture! Have a nice day (got some sleep )

Another great frost shot Astrid. I've never seen so much frost
Picturit: This frost is rare even for us, we do have some every winter but the combination of heavy fog, deep freeze weather is maybe once in the 5 or 6 years, thanks Michelle as always
We call this hoar frost. When the sun sparkles off it it is one of the most beautiful things that can ever be seen. That is a really beautiful photo, Astrid.
Picturit: You are so right here Mary, this is so rare, so unique, I was so glad I was able to witness the most beautiful site of nature I think....thanks as always Mary.
Another lovely winter scene. It suits the panoramic format very well. Just makes me want to be there, well-wrapped up of course!
Ingrid
Picturit: Any time you want to come with me on picture hunt, you are so welcome, may be next week we'll have frost again..... thanks Ingrid for your nice comment as always, have a nice day
Picturit: Graag gedaan, dit is Nederland op zijn best, mooier krijgen we het niet, you're so welcome, this is Holland from its best site!!, more beautiful we don't get it.
Hope your toes did not get frost bite
