Right now, Astrid, his prognosis is not good news...
Picturit: I think so too Ray.... it is this time of the year sad
Astrid.
Handsome bird.
Picturit: This turkey was with 3 others in a cage at the farmer-show at the Fair in Cumming, Ga. I took this shot in between the bars of the cage, I felt a kind of sad, I never saw a turkey that close by, other than on my plate.
I was fascinated by the colours and the sounds.
Astrid.
His Mother loves him....
Picturit: I have no doubt about that Frank, no doubt at all.

He looks such a wise old bird, and it would be a shame to eat him. Fine photo, Astrid!

a great close- up! Yes, I too hope he might live long and well!
It makes you think Mother Nature made him look like this on purpose to dissuade us from making him our main attraction at Thanksgiving and Christmas??? (shudder)
Not a good time to be a Turkey

So you think it is beautiful?
As my mother would say, "He's got a face only a mother could love."
