Does it rain on fridays in Droitwich, Astrid?
Picturit: Somebody studied the subject and the outcome was amazing.......
I feel the weather from here.
Picturit: Rainfall on American Highways amaze me to no end. In the Netherlands we have a kind of 'open asphalt' and it reduces the spray of water and the advisability stays good. I noticed on the US highways the cars almost disappear in a mist of water....
The open asphalt makes it that the water is 'drained' from the road.
Great capture Astrid... it looks like the wheel of the truck is hydroplaning....
cool shot....petersmile
Picturit: You are right and with the surface of the road that can easily happen....
In the Netherlands we have an 'open asphalt', Water is drained faster and hydroplaning is rare (but possible of course with a real downpour and a stupid driver, I was taught, as long as you see your own tracks on the road in the rear mirror, you are 'not flying'......)

Sensible highways authority in the Netherlands, Astrid
So THAT'S why you're always fascinated with the roads when it rains in America!!! smile

Hooray, no eCard business today, although I enjoyed your previous picture Astrd. This one is great, I can feel the cold wet spray all over my face and have a towel to hand. Presumably taken from a moving car, and hence tricky to do, it is excellent.
The sun is starting to peep through here and we are going into Worcester soon to see the dedication of a memorial stone in Gheluvelt park parking the 100 years since the battle that the park is named after which involved the Worcestershire regiment

Good picture Lady P
That wheel looks to be bouncing in the rain. Excellent!
A town with predictable weather it seems.

Excellent photography - likey.

And some humour, too.
Love the movement and atmosphere, Astrid! Great shot smile
Goodness gracious, it seems to have been raining so much at Droitwich the driver is on the wrong side of the road!
Monsoon season is still on, I see...
this is wonderfully done i like the effect, the truck tyre seems almost floating on its way ahead!
